Blues and Spiritual Music
These songs were born in the cotton plants, rhythmic and repetitive singsongs. They developed into more complex songs, containing a mix of joy, pain, happiness, sorrow, hope and prayer. The African American music of "The Pilgrims" tells the story of the African slaves in America, from the birth of the work songs to their transformation into spirituals. Their repertoire goes from a cappella songs to the traditional and modern gospel, together with pop and ethnic songs. The show of "The Pilgrims" involves the audience with its sound and its rhythm, in a mix of voices, notes, movements, and joy of music.
